Beauty is Everywhere

Picture
Sometimes even where you least expect it.

Too often, people become so caught up in the demands of everyday life that they can forget to stop and smell the roses.

Sometimes, it’s necessary to take a break from the hectic daily activities and take a moment to appreciate the little things in life.

It’s not hard to appreciate the surface beauty of a blooming flower, but my goal is to find the beauty that’s not as obvious.

My goal is to find things you wouldn’t necessarily notice by simply glancing at a flower.

Some things deserve a closer look.

About Me

I currently reside in a suburb of Minneapolis, which gives me access to some beautiful gardens. The Conservatory at Como Zoo and the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum have been invaluable in my growth as a photographer. Of course, you can always find beauty just outside your door, from wildflowers to the less obvious.

I’ve been taking macro photographs for the past three years, and after much cajoling by family and friends, I decided to set up this site to showcase my favorite shots. This is only a small sampling (there are over 1,000 shots sitting on my hard drive), and I go to one of the aforementioned gardens at least once a month, so I’ll be periodically updating the pictures.

If you have any questions or comments, I’d love to hear from you.

Thanks for stopping by, and don’t forget to look for the unexpected beauty in things!
